🏡 BUYING A HOME? LET’S TALK ABOUT THE BUYER BROKER AGREEMENT! 🏡

Have you been asked to sign a Buyer Broker Agreement before touring a home? If so, don’t worry! This is now a standard part of the home-buying process, and we want you to understand exactly what it means.

Since August 2024, real estate agents working with buyers have generally been required to have a written Buyer Broker Agreement in place before touring homes together. This change was designed to provide greater transparency and help buyers better understand their relationship with their agent.

🔑 So, what exactly is a Buyer Broker Agreement?

It’s a written agreement that explains:

✅ Representation: Who will be representing you and looking out for your best interests.

✅ Services: What your agent will do to assist you throughout your home search, negotiations, and closing.

✅ Compensation: How your agent will be compensated, so you understand the terms upfront.

✅ Expectations: The responsibilities and terms of your working relationship, including how long the agreement lasts.

🏠 DOES SIGNING MEAN YOU HAVE TO BUY A HOME?

Absolutely not! Signing a Buyer Broker Agreement does not obligate you to purchase a home. It simply establishes the terms under which your agent will represent you and assist you during your home-buying journey.

🏡🎉 Happy Closing Day!

This one was a little different today! The sellers found their own buyer, and I stepped in as the Transaction Licensee to help both sides get from handshake to closing.

I took care of the paperwork and helped keep all the moving parts moving, like the bank, inspections, appraisal, closing company, deadlines, documents, and all the little things in between.
Basically, they found each other…I helped make sure everything else happened! 😁
