PLANET FITNESS SET FOR MILLION-DOLLAR TAKEOVER OF MIDLOTHIAN GYM

Planet Fitness is expanding its presence in Ellis County with a major $1,250,000 renovation project planned for Midlothian. The popular fitness chain is taking over an existing gym space located at 1000 E. Main Street in Suite 205, transforming the massive 25,860-square-foot facility into a signature Planet Fitness location. The comprehensive interior and exterior remodel will include the addition of new exterior glazing, selective demolition, and the construction of new walls with brand-new finishes throughout the space.

Construction on the takeover is scheduled to kick off late this summer on August 1, 2026, with the team aiming for a quick turnaround and a completion date set for November 1, 2026.
