You Don't Own a BOAT! You can still join our Club as a Co-Angler. We meet the 2nd Wednesday of every Month at 7:30pm. First Meeting of the year is in March and the last meeting is held in November for the year. The meetings are held at the Manteno, Illinois Sportsmen's Club. The BTBA fish approximately 8 club tournaments per year. Our tournament schedule includes such lakes as Braidwood, Mill Creek, Jacksonville, Willow Slough, Clinton, Shelbyville, Delavan, Egypt and OKEECHOBEE! LOL WE WISH! We do fish some rivers in the Summer months like Kankakee and Grand River. We draw partners for club tournaments at our monthly meeting prior to tournament and allow guests to fish one tournament per year. Our Annual Club Fee is $45. There is No Individual Tournament Fee. If you would like to get in the money for a tournament the fee is $20. 100% goes back to places based on the number of anglers in the tournament. We believe in Fish Conservation and Preservation, just like Major League Fishing. Most of our Tournaments are Catch and Release on the spot. We all use a paper system where the fish is measured and marked on the paper based on the size of the fish. Then the paper calculates the weights based on the length of the fish. However, Some tournaments we do bring the scale and weight in at the launch. This is always decided as a group at the meeting prior to the tournament. ANGLER OF THE YEAR:
Each Tournament has Points Earned for 3 Categories:
1. Attending the meeting prior to tournament.
2. Attending and Completing the tournament.
3.The place in the tournament
All points accumulate towards the Angler of the Year Award. Here is How it Works As a NON-BOATER:
1. Split Vehicle Fuel with your Partner
2. Split Hotel Room if Applicable.
3. Split Launch Fee each day if Applicable.
4. Pay the owner of the Boat $20 Fuel/Boat Fee for Each day.
5. Any other incidentals could be discussed ahead of time. Just use some common sense on what is fair. :)
