Important information…..from our lifeguard compnay. Please read. All Ocean County A.L.A. stations are currently on a 12:00 PM opening delay while we continue to assess waterfront conditions.

In coordination with local USLA agencies and municipalities, there is broad agreement that today’s conditions, with today’s swell forecasts from Hurricane Erin increasing significantly in the past 24 hours, combined with strengthening onshore winds and sub-70 degree air temperatures, warrant the flying of double-red flags at beach access points and the temporary removal of staff from the shoreline.

I, along with a skeleton crew of lifeguards, will be patrolling by beach vehicle throughout the morning to further evaluate conditions. A final decision on whether operations will remain closed for the full day will be made at 11:00 AM.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we protect the safety of our staff and the public.

BEACH REPLENISMENT UPDATE:

Our beach is currently closed and expected to reopen on Wednesday, August 13th.
In the meantime, you can access Brick Beach 3, but will need to purchase daily passes.
