Why Real Estate you ask?
I have grown up with my grandparents and my parents who have bought, rented and flipped houses all my life. I have wanted to be a realtor since I was 6! I LOVED helping my gram with projects. She always had a white paintbrush in hand, and she taught me to use one at a very young age. My gramps didn’t mind having my nose in his business while he was doing electrical and plumbing projects. I wasn’t supposed to listen when he swore. I took trips to the dump, the consignment shops, the paint store, and helped haul furniture. On Sunday we usually didn’t work at the rental houses. We would go for Sunday drives and look at...houses! These experiences hold wonderful memories of growing up.
My parents have also had rentals that we remodeled...they did more than paint...they gutted and started from scratch. My husband and I had continued the tradition and owned a cabin on Lake Superior and ran a rental business through VRBO for 21 years. Real estate is in my blood!
As a former elementary school teacher, I have worked with many people from every walk of life. Everybody has a different story, and it is of utmost importance to learn about every individual’s chapter. I have loved working with a diverse group of children and their families so that I could learn from different cultures, races, and traditions.
Customer service has always been at the forefront of my mind. Since I was 15 years old I have worked in retail, owned two businesses, and customer service has always been the most important part of any job I have ever had. I have always loved helping people find the best deal with the best service, and I can’t wait to continue this part of me with homeowners.
