Here's a fixer upper!! The Mondry Elevator, Located in beautiful Ardoch, ND. Population 31. The post office was established on February 27, 1882 - My Birthday!! (just a few years later ;) with a little elbow grease (and a bulldozer) it could be the site of a fine B&B. I love finding these relics of the past. Back in 1896 there was a Catholic, Presbyterian and Methodist Church here and in 1905 The Soo Line arrived and its population shot up to nearly 300 residents. The post office closed in 1975. Lake Ardoch is a water conservation area and landing ground for migratory waterfowl. There's your random North Dakota info and you can find it right off Hwy 81 on your way from Grand Forks to Cavalier - the scenic route 😂
