Mortgage rates are loosely tied to the 10-year treasury bond market … so they went down a bit BEFORE the fed drop, and up slightly since it. BUT they are still a full point lower than they were last year; so for some of you, that combines with other factors (in the market and in your life) to make this a good time to sell and/or buy!
