👋 Champlin, unfortunately our 2024 Trout Ice Fishing Contest plans have melted away. The “Frostbite 500” is officially cancelled due to unseasonably warm weather and unfavorable ice conditions. Ticket refunds are underway. Ready for good news and a special announcement? ❄️🐟⬇️

Thanks to Former Mayor Ryan Karasek of Re/Max Results we will proceed with adding new trout into the Champlin Trout Pond in preparation for the 2025 winter event (can't wait to see how big they'll be by next year🙂) AND we will still have a special drawing to give away the new “Frostbite 500” gear.

If you were one of the 450+ who preregistered, your name will go into the special drawing and you may be one of the first to have gear with the new Frostbite 500 logo on it! I am very proud to be the sponsor of all the CPYHA Mite Hockey Teams this year! For the love of hockey, I am blessed to give back to a sport that has provided me with so many happy memories.
Last year I started taking some photos of my son and quickly found out that parents love action photos of their children on the ice. So, I decided to expand my lens and tried to capture as many fun pics as I could and share them with all the parents and players. I am a Realtor and not a professional photographer so it may take me 50 shots to get one good one. The “Great One”, Wayne Gretzky coined the phrase, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” I hope that you enjoy the photos!
I tried to get a wide variety of players, and I acknowledge that I didn’t get all of them. Largely, I just tried to follow the play of the game. If you would like to send me your child’s team and players name and number, I would be happy to try to make a concerted effort to capture a good photo at my next opportunity. I plan on taking photo’s every game day for the remainder of the season. I will continue to add photos as I edit them. “Like” this page if you would like to be notified when I add more photos.
