My last day in Rome was spent exactly the way I like to travel — moving, wandering, eating well, and taking it all in.

The day started with a bike tour along the Appian Way, followed by hours of wandering through different neighborhoods, starting in the Jewish Ghetto and eventually making my way to the Spanish Steps.

Somewhere in between was a delicious lunch, and of course, gelato… because in Italy you have to have it everyday!

And to end the trip, one more visit to Jerry Thomas for cocktails and the perfect final night in Rome.

One of my favorite days in Italy…

I took the speed train from Rome to Florence and spent 6 hours there doing what I enjoy most when traveling — wandering.

I actually had a tour booked, but once I stepped into the streets of Florence, I ditched the plan completely. The energy, the architecture, the cafés, the people… it all pulled me in.

A few hours later, I was back in Rome in time for dinner, nightlife, and one more unforgettable night in Italy.

Definitely a day for the books.

Enjoying every moment in Rome.

It was all about strolling through different neighborhoods, stopping into little pastry shops, and enjoying the beautiful weather.

I visited the Parco Archeologico del Colosseo and the Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore — both absolutely incredible in their own way.

Later in the night, I had a delicious meal at a local restaurant, followed by gelato (one of my favorite desserts) from a spot loved by the locals.

And to end the night, cocktails at a hidden speakeasy that were definitely worth writing home about. And the vibe, very chic!

Located in Orange, it’s the kind of spot you go to when you want to slow down, catch up with your girlfriends, and just enjoy the moment.

It’s fun, a little feminine, and one of those places that just has a cool vibe.
