LifeSpace is looking for a trainable person (male or female) to assist in the office and in the field and ultimately be the “Office Manager” and my “Personal Assistant”. I plan on retiring in about two years when I get the right person trained. We are a Property Management Company that manages 70 properties owned by LifeSpace, Inc. and Scott Johnson individually. We also maintain a large house with a swimming pool on acreage and a pool hall. We do not do any management for other people.
We would prefer that your first contact with us should be by phone and you should be comfortable leaving a message and using the phone and general. You should have your voice mail set up so that we can do the same. We do our corporate business by phone, NOT text or Facebook.
The ideal candidate should live 10 to 15 minutes from The Sweetberry Farm area off of FM 1980. Must be a person that has a good memory, believes in being reliable, punctual, efficient and considers themselves a math person. You would want to be someone that notices everything including plumb, level and things that are out of place and be someone that considers themselves neat.
Non-smoker with reliable transportation to get to work and good driving record. Must be drug free and pass a background check. Hours will have some flexibility and will be 30 to 50 hours per week depending of time of year and workload. Availability on weekends may be required. Pay will start at $15 and can be negotiated depending on knowledge and aptitude. If the right person is out there, when I retire this person could be running this company for 20 years and have a good salary (not hourly).
We will be doing everything that is office related including COMPLICATED Excel Spreadsheets, QuickBooks, computers in general including social media and websites, banking, leasing, enforcement and collection. Should enjoy getting to know all of the properties in the field and be competent with maps and directions. Enjoy getting to know all of the tenants both current and past. Must be comfortable being tough and do evictions when needed.
Applicant must also be willing to help in the field when we have an emergency repair or a heavy make-ready. We may be doing all building trades (carpentry, plumbing, AC, Electrical, roofing etc.) plus mowing, make ready cleaning and would attack it as a team. The ideal candidate would want to be responsible for being my “Personal Assistant” as well and deal with all aspects of running my personal residence and my life – especially after I retire and start travelling.
