⚜️ Yesterday was Closing Day for my Buyers! ⚜️
This was a smooth transaction with reasonable and friendly people on all sides. Not every transaction has a crisis but each one does have a lesson. The final walkthrough was a great reminder of why the details matter.
We found that some agreed-upon repairs weren't completed properly, including GFCI outlets that still weren't functioning and a stove safety feature that had not been installed.
Halfway through the walkthrough, I ran to Home Depot for an outlet tester so I could verify every outlet that was supposed to have been repaired.
This is how we found out the repairs were either not done or done incorrectly and it also allowed us to show proof that the repairs still needed to be completed.
That's the part of representation people don't always see: paying attention, asking questions, verifying the details, and advocating for your client all the way to the closing table and beyond.
