Consumers are pessimistic about home buying. Prices have soared and competition has gotten tighter as a supply of homes has gotten low. Overall, affordable housing has been an issue for some homebuyers too.

However, as COVID regulations are lifted we’ll see more of a price increase which could cut into a homebuyers budget.

Guys, this is a perfect opportunity to take a break and focus on boosting credit. Credit is a major factor in determining mortgage loan interest and the amount of money you’ll spend on your mortgage. Trust me! You won’t regret it. 😁

The housing market is improving, meaning that as a buyer there are things you need to be aware of to make the transaction and moving process as smooth as possible.

1. Go DIY. Get a rental truck and save yourself the fee of professional movers. You don’t have to find the help yourself, you can get creative and find people to help you.

2. Take breaks often.

3. Remember to pack away the things you won’t need for 3+ months. It gives you plenty of time to toss, donate, or sell any items you no longer need.

Y’all, I know you’ve been seeing the fear and uncertainty around the housing market. Some sources have even reported a 17% increase in housing prices since the start of this year. But don’t worry, I got you! 🥳

1. Figure out the numbers. At the end of the day, your monthly payment is going to be principal + interest. It adds up! So find what you’re comfortable with.

2. My services are available ☺️ However, finding a good real estate agent is critical. Find one that relates and will go above & beyond to meet your needs.

3. Do your homework! The best decision you can make is an educated one. Do virtual tours in this time of COVID and study the neighborhoods. It will factor into your budget.

Truth: No! Matter of fact, most potential homebuyers are heartbroken when finding their dream home and not seeing if they qualify first. Save yourself the trouble!

Myth #2: You need a perfect credit.
Truth: No! If anything, there are multiple factors that determine your eligibility. For most conventional loans, you only really need a 620 MINIMUM.

Myth #3: You need to have 20% down.
Truth: NO, NO, and NO. According to the Zillow Group Consumer Trends Report, only 24% of buyers pay 20% down.
