Real Estate Scam Alert!

We've been made aware of a major scam affecting Ohio’s real estate industry. Scammers are posting fake real estate listings and convincing people to send deposits via Venmo. These scammers target renters and homebuyers; unfortunately, many have fallen victim.

Staying vigilant is more critical than ever. If you're in the process of renting or buying a property:
Verify the listing and the identity of the landlord/seller.
NEVER send deposits via apps like Venmo or other unsecured payment methods.
Watch for red flags, such as unusually low prices or requests for quick payments.

Please spread the word to help protect our community! Stay safe and report any suspicious activity to your local police!
