Boil water advisory in effect

Late last night, West Memphis Utilities lost two critical transfer pumps in our water system. Crews are working to restore service, but at this time we cannot move enough water to maintain pressure while demand is high.

🚱We are asking all customers to limit usage to essential needs only.
Please do not use water unless absolutely necessary.

🚱If you must use water, boil it before use to ensure the safety of you and your family.

Here are a few tips for the upcoming winter storm:

Please do not turn your heat off at any time this winter. A minimum temperature of 65 degrees should be maintained in your apartment at all times to prevent freezing when the temperature is 32 degrees Fahrenheit or below. Keep the water dripping from all faucets. We realize the sound of dripping water is irritating to some people, but frozen and/or busted pipes can be even more irritating.

Open all kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors beneath sink basins to allow the heat to reach the exposed pipes. In some instances, the temperature does not have to be below 32 degrees to have frozen pipes. It can vary, depending on the wind and location of the pipes.
