Something I do not always talk about as a small business owner is the tension that comes with having a voice.

I love my community. And I am also honest enough to admit that there are moments where I wonder if speaking up will cost me business.

I post anyway.

Not because I am reckless. But because I am intentional. Every word I put out is sincere and comes from a real place. I choose to speak on the disparities surrounding minority families because I live it, I see it, and I refuse to look away from it.

The Karmelo Anthony verdict is the latest reminder of how uneven justice continues to be in this country.

Being a small business owner does not mean silencing yourself to make everyone comfortable. For me it means showing up fully, for my clients and for my community.

Today is Bryceson and my 15th anniversary.

It’s honestly not hard to believe it’s been 15 years, because when you’ve lived this much life together, you feel every bit of it. Couples always say “we’ve been through some stuff” and after 15 years… that kind of goes without saying.

As many of our friends and family know, we really have been through it. The scary, the unimaginable, the disappointing, the really hard, the unfortunate… but also the happy, the exciting, the beautiful, and the deeply blessed. We’ve done life together.

15 years. 180 months. Over 5,400 days of waking up and making the same choice over and over again.

Not always in equal ways, not always at the same time, but always finding our way back to choosing each other… just like we promised we would. In sickness and in health. In the good and in the bad. For richer or for poorer.

And somehow, through all of it, here we are.

Still choosing. Still standing. Still us.

I’m really proud of that. Proud of us.

Marriage has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my life… with you, for our family, for everything we’ve built. It hasn’t been perfect, but it’s been real, it’s been tested, and it’s been worth it.

It feels like an accomplishment. One I don’t take lightly. And it’s something I hope our kids, and one day our grandkids, get to experience in their own way.

15 years ago, I became a mom.
I haven’t missed a single day since.
Not one moment. Big or small, I’ve been there for all of it.

Watching you grow, learn, and become exactly who you’re called to be has been the greatest gift of my life. Being your mom is an honor I’ll never take lightly.

I’m beyond proud of you. Happy 15th birthday, my love 🤍

Fortunately for me, I was born with just enough ADHD to turn chaos into currency.

I may forget where I put my phone… but I never forget contract deadlines, client calls, school schedules, or which plate needs spinning next (even if that means relying on my AI assistant to help me manage it all).

Running on fumes. Juggling 47 tabs. Closing deals anyway.
Multitasking isn’t a skill, it’s a lifestyle.
