What if you got to call this home?

Fall has always been my favorite season in the U.P. It’s literally awesome watching the landscape turn brilliant shades of red, orange and gold - and knowing this isn’t somewhere you traveled to see. It’s home!

But the truth is, every season here has its own kind of magic. Snow-covered pines and quiet winter mornings. That first warm spring day when everything starts coming back to life. Long summer evenings on the lake. And then fall arrives…🤩

A little tip for vacant homes this time of year! Wasps are looking for places to build nests, and a home sitting vacant on the market can give them the perfect opportunity.

One inexpensive trick is to hang a decoy wasp/hornet nest around porches, sheds, garages, or other areas where they tend to build. They’re made to resemble an existing nest and are intended to discourage territorial wasps from building nests nearby.

They’re inexpensive, easy to hang, and for a vacant property, I figure they’re worth the small investment. I recently spotted this one in a shed and remembered I wanted to post about this! Sometimes the simplest little things can help when a home is sitting vacant. 🏡🐝 I have stories to share that would make you RUN to the store to grab one if you own a vacant home right now.
