MAY: The Outdoor Welcome (Front & Back!)
May in Northern Utah is pure magic! Now that the danger of those surprise Davis County frosts has faded, I’m officially moving that "fresh feeling" outside.
This month, I am focusing on creating cohesive Outdoor Enjoyment Areas that extend my home's warmth past both the front and back doors. It is finally warm enough to sit back, unwind, and watch things bloom! I recently had all my windows professionally washed on the outside, and let me tell you—seeing those crisp mountain views and the yard clear of any reflection is worth every single penny.
To welcome the season properly, I am tackling three garden resets this month:
✨ Dual Entrance Polish: I officially gave both my front and back doors a cohesive sage green "garden look." It creates an instant, seamless connection between the inside of my home and the beauty of the yard.
🌿 Maximize the View: With the outside glass sparkling, I have a crystal-clear view right from the kitchen into the yard, spotlighting my dahlia starts and the lush ranunculus planters along with other plants I move out of the greenhouse.
🧺 Porch & Patio Shift: I'm sweeping away the last of the winter grit and laying down a clean, layered welcome mat at the entrance. It’s an instant "visual cooling" that makes the whole entryway feel summer-ready—and next up is refreshing the patio furniture so we can sit down by the greenhouse or relax around the fire pit to enjoy the warmth!
Your front porch is the handshake of your home, but the backyard is where the peace lives. Swipe through to see the views! Are your porch pots already overflowing, or are you heading to the nursery this weekend? Tell me below! 👇Looking for a Realtor who is good a show casing your home...call me!!!
