Lovely for the texture and durability, impossible to hang outdoor decor on, or so I thought!

I love Pinterest. I really do. I love watching "influencers" make beautiful spaces, and organize rooms where there's not an item out of place. And when used for inspiration, these things are fantastic!

In real estate, I get to see a lot of "perfect spaces". Homes and rooms that are photo-worthy and show-ready. And while that's fantastic for buyers, it can also be intimidating!

Lived-in homes don't have to look perfect.

Spaces don't have to be "pinterest-worthy" to be functional.

I have wanted a "prayer closet" for a long time, and when you look at those spaces on Pinterest or social media, they're often dedicated closets or rooms with no other function.

My walk-in closet isn't huge. My clothes have to be in there. My shoes have to be in there. It doesn't have pretty lights, or a bulletin board, or a cushy chair. It has a small wooden stool that my grandpa built years ago, a fuzzy rug that was a Christmas gift a few years ago. A quilt that my Mamaw made that has been worn soft cuddly. A Bible. A notebook. And a devotional for moms.

And its perfect the way it is.

Don't let expectations of perfection keep you from enjoying the life and space you have!

But my little lavender orpington hen is just so proud of the single chick she managed to hatch!!!
How adorable is that?
Still keeping my fingers crossed that a few more will hatch this weekend!

If you need me today, I am always available! Just know that yes, that is a tractor you hear in the background!
There is something so satisfying in watching your teenagers take over big farm responsibilities. I am just out here today "supervising" from a lawn chair while our 15yr old lays down some hay.
