Eagle Point Management, a national owner and property manager of affordable, multi-family properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a residential community in Martinsburg, WV for 30 – 35 hours per week.
As a member of the community's maintenance team, you will be expected to maintain a well-kept property in order to ensure maximum resident satisfaction. All members of the maintenance staff will effectively and efficiently diagnose and repair all maintenance requests and answer any questions or concerns while exhibiting superior customer service skills.
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 1 year experience in apartment maintenance and have a working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and heating systems, in addition to A/C units, building codes, and Fair Housing laws.
Complete all maintenance requests issued in a timely manner
Ensure vacant units are made ready for move in per EPM standards
Work within budget limits established
Maintain building inventory for cost effective operation
Schedule and complete preventive maintenance
Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors
Responsible for 24-Hour emergency maintenance call outs; carry mobile phone/radio as required for on-call Maintenance
Weekend schedule / coverage required on a rotating basis
Monitor and maintain all building systems
Complete grounds work, which may include picking up trash, sweeping curbs, and maintain areas around the dumpster
Ensure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines
All other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
Minimum 1 years' experience in apartment maintenance or related field.
HVAC certification preferred.
Skilled in use of power tools.
Require possession of own personal small hand tools.
Good people skills, friendly, helpful attitude.
Frequent need to lift/carry up to 75 lbs.
Good recordkeeping for work orders, parts orders, inventory and service/tenant follow-up.
Other Qualifications:
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
Valid driver's license required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.50 - $20.50 per hour
