Today was our first full day in DC with the West Virginia Association of REALTORS Leadership Academy at the REALTORS® Legislative Meetings!

We kicked things off last night at the Hospitality Reception with Virginia REALTORS®. This morning started bright and early with breakfast together before heading to the Capitol for a tour. We also had the opportunity to sit in on a discussion with a representative from Fannie Mae and spent some time exploring the expo floor… and maybe buying a few things along the way. 😆

This afternoon, I caught up on some work before we head out to dinner tonight with REALTORS® from across West Virginia who are in town for the meetings.

It's been a great opportunity to learn, connect, and represent West Virginia on a national level. Looking forward to another full day tomorrow! 🤩

Today calls for celebrating two sets of clients who persevered when their transactions did not go as planned! 👏

My first closing today was delayed almost a month due to a short sale. We knew we were at the mercy of the lender, but wow… we truly learned what that meant. 😅 The crazy part? My buyer won in a multiple-offer situation, and shortly after, another client of mine missed out on the same exact style home on the same street. It was the reminder she needed that waiting a little longer would absolutely be worth it.

My second closing was with sellers who had their home under contract not once, not twice, but THREE times. 😵‍💫 When the last contract fell apart days before closing, communication and persistence kept us moving forward. We knew spring market timing would help, especially with this being the largest and least expensive home in the county.

Real estate can be emotional, frustrating, and unpredictable, but both of these clients trusted me through the difficult parts and that means more than I can say. 🫶

Also, shoutout to the agents, lenders, and attorney offices involved because transactions like these truly take everyone working together to get to the finish line. 🏡

Closing day for some wonderful neighbors. ❤️

After more than 30 years in their beautiful home, today they officially closed this chapter and are heading south for their next adventure.

Two posts two days in a row… who even am I?! 😅

Another brand new home secured for my first-time homebuyers, and this one feels extra special because he’s a childhood friend of my brother’s… which raises the important question, how are they even old enough for this?! *sobbing*

There is nothing quite like getting that email and knowing the house is theirs. The excitement, the relief, the “wait… is this real?” moment never gets old.

Helping buyers, especially first-time buyers, step into such a huge milestone is one of my favorite parts of this job. It’s more than a house, it’s the start of their next chapter.

And yes, I will absolutely celebrate like it’s my own every single time! 🏡✨

I can hardly believe it’s been almost a month since I’ve posted 🤯 Life and real estate have been moving at full speed.

In that time, four buyers went under contract, we found a tenant for the rental, and one property came back on the market Friday, had 12 showings, and two offers before my sellers were back under contract.

Between contracts, showings, family life, and the everyday chaos, it has been a busy season, but honestly, I wouldn’t change it for the world.

I’m incredibly grateful for every client who trusts me to help guide them through such a big chapter. That trust means everything to me.
