☀️ Summer Nights in the Eastern Panhandle: Family-Friendly Evening Fun! 🍿🎶
Looking for fun ways to enjoy summer evenings with the family? One of the things I love most about living in the Eastern Panhandle is the number of community events that bring families together. From movies under the stars to live music downtown, there is something for everyone!
Here are a few local favorites to add to your summer bucket list:
🎬 Outdoor Movies & Movie Nights
• Sam Michaels Park – Free Movie Nights in the Park at The AMP throughout the summer. Bring blankets, lawn chairs, and snacks for an evening under the stars. Gates open at 7:30 PM, movies begin at dusk. https://www.jeffersoncountywv.org/county-government/county-agencies/parks-recreation/programs-events/movie-night-in-the-park
• Poor House Farm Park – Seasonal free outdoor movie nights for families. Pack your chairs and enjoy a fun summer evening outside. https://www.facebook.com/MBCParksAndRec/photos/-free-movie-nights-at-poor-house-farm-park-are-right-around-the-corner-join-us-f/1411208464362938/
• City Park Band Shell – Family-friendly Outdoor Movies in the Park with concessions and pre-show activities. Great option for an easy evening out! https://www.hagerstownmd.org/963/Outdoor-Movies-at-City-Park
🎶 Outdoor Concerts & Town Green Events
• Martinsburg Town Square – Main Street Martinsburg Summer Concert Series featuring free live music on select Friday evenings downtown. Grab dinner locally and enjoy music in the square.
• Berkeley Springs State Park – Summer concert series and community music events in a beautiful historic setting.
• Peter Buys Band Shell – Free Sunday evening concerts in the park during the summer. A classic summer tradition!
✨ Pro Tip: Bring lawn chairs, bug spray, blankets, and a few snacks and make a whole evening of it!
One of my favorite things about helping families relocate to our area is sharing the little things that make living here special, and summer evenings in the Eastern Panhandle are hard to beat.
