Hey friends,
It’s been a while since I’ve shared here, so I wanted to reconnect and offer a glimpse into my journey. Truth be told, over the past year, I’ve thought about quitting real estate more times than I’d care to admit. I never imagined I’d be here, but life has a way of leading us down unexpected paths, doesn’t it?
A few years ago, I started this real estate adventure out of necessity, as a single mom with a tiny person (who’s now 6 years old and just started kindergarten)! It’s been a rollercoaster of highs and lows—from dealing with people who didn’t always see the hard work I put in, to staying up late calming clients' nerves or worrying about how I’d pay my bills.
There have been days when I’ve wanted to throw in the towel, wondering if I was cut out for this. I’ve faced self-doubt, comparison traps, and plenty of tears. But I’ve learned something crucial: my worth isn’t defined by others’ paths or my own moments of struggle. Reconnecting with my ‘why’ has been what keeps me going.
So, why do I do this? So I can be there for my daughter, pick her up from school, and enjoy the flexibility to build a life around my family and passions—like leading worship on Sundays at Broadway UMC (come join us!) or cooking a nourishing meal for my family. It’s about staying present, serving my clients with honesty and genuine care in an industry that can sometimes be self-serving, and helping people make smart decisions to build their futures. Being a listening ear and a calm voice during stressful transitions is what truly matters to me. It’s also about serving people well and doing my best to represent Christ in every situation.
I’m excited to share that I’m making some big changes in my business and services to better align with my "why," so stay tuned for what’s next! If you need a listening ear, a warm cup of coffee, or just someone to chat with, I’m here for you.
Though my journey hasn’t unfolded as I once planned, I am deeply grateful for every twist and turn. It has led to some of the sweetest blessings, far beyond what I could have imagined. Thank you for being a part of this journey with me.
Remember, we all have unique journeys. Don’t compare yours to anyone else’s. Embrace your path and believe in your worth. Sometimes the road less traveled is exactly where we’re meant to be.
With gratitude and warmth,
Allison
P.S. How gorgeous is my "why"? 🥹
