PWA Properties’ Multifamily Team brokered the $2,000,000 sale of 1803 Clinch Avenue located in the historic Fort Sanders district. The property was built in 1912 by Pat Roddy Sr. who founded The Roddy Coca-Cola Bottling Company, an iconic, family-owned East Tennessee bottler and franchise. The company grew into one of country’s first and most successful independent Coca-Cola operations.

The property has only had 3 owners since its construction and this was the first time it was ever placed on the market for sale. Congratulations to the Henson Developments team who acquired this property and plans to restore and maintain its historic architecture and features going forward.

South Knoxville is Booming!

KCDC and the City of Knoxville have officially launched the RFQ process for the redevelopment of approximately 15 acres along the Tennessee River which is one of the last major remaining riverfront redevelopment opportunities in the city.

The proposed vision includes a walkable mixed-use development featuring residential, commercial, public green space, riverfront access, and the preservation of historic elements tied to the site’s industrial past. Located directly across from the University of Tennessee campus, the project is intended to strengthen connectivity between South Knoxville, downtown, and the waterfront while creating a destination for future growth.
