The Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) extended its Modified Phase III water shortage.
The rules did not change.
It covers all of Hernando County.
That includes Spring Hill, Brooksville, and Weeki Wachee.
📅 Find your day.
Look at the LAST number of your house address:
0 or 1 ➡️ Monday
2 or 3 ➡️ Tuesday
4 or 5 ➡️ Wednesday
6 or 7 ➡️ Thursday
8 or 9 ➡️ Friday
No lawn watering on Saturday or Sunday.
🌙 Watering times on your day:
Midnight to 4 AM
OR
8 PM to 11:59 PM
Lot under 1 acre? Pick just ONE of those times.
Reset your sprinkler timer!
🪴 Hand watering and drip lines for plants and shrubs:
Any day.
Before 8 AM or after 6 PM only.
🚗 Washing your car at home?
Only on your watering day.
Use a hose with a shutoff nozzle.
⛲ Fountains: 4 hours a day max.
🌱 New sod or plants?
There is a special 60-day schedule.
Ask the county before you plant.
🏡 Good to know:
Private wells follow these rules too.
In Hernando, reclaimed water does too.
Your HOA can't make you water more or pressure wash just for looks.
