Brazil is the 10th largest producer of Cashew Nuts (actually a seed) in the world (2012 data). We never see the cashew apple portion of the seed/fruit product, but it can be used in fruit drinks or distilled into liquor. Just in case this ever comes up in conversation, now you know!

If you’re in Mainz and looking for a “house with history”....look no further. This is the oldest half-timbered house in Mainz, 15th century, located at Kirschgarten 26/28. Originally consisting of two houses, in the second half of the 16th century (according to Bill Ferguson’s first person account), both houses were unified under one roof. The rent income from these homes stood as collateral security for the 150 gold florins borrowed in 1448 to help Johannes Gutenberg develop his printing invention!

The Mainz Cathedral is located in the center of Mainz. This catholic Cathedral of St. Martin and St. Stephen was started in 975 AD and dominates the town square, providing an inspiring backdrop in all seasons.
