Isn’t she lovely 🥰

This home remained with the same family for 79 years.

When Carol reached out to us to sell her family home, she shared that her grandparents purchased the house in 1947. In 1949!They added a garage for the cost of $720. In 1958 they put an addition on the house and it cost them $960. As we went through all of the notes that Carol shared with us when we were preparing to list her home for sale, she showed pages and pages of handwritten notes detailing every update, every repair, new appliances, furniture and decor purchases, and even the new Buick that they bought in 1989.

For us, one of the things that we love most about the work we do is the stories Homeowners share about the history of their Homes and their families. I think everyone would agree that HOME is where everything happens-all the great stuff, some of the not so great stuff, and everything that matters.

Carol is beginning a new chapter with her daughter and her granddaughter in a new state now, and we could not be more excited for their journey. Seems like sort of a full circle moment that the home she shared with her daughter and granddaughter was also the home that her grandparents raised their children in, and her parents raise their children in.

Congratulations Carol and Traci on your big move. It was truly a pleasure to be a part of your story, if only for a little while.
