Mecklenburg Inspections is committed to giving a third party, impartial inspection of your property whether you are buying, selling, or just want an inspection of the current conditions of your home. We are a Christian based company licensed in both North and South Carolina and inspect to the Standards of Practice in each state. Per our license requirements, continuing education is required every

year. We also attend monthly meetings of the local association for educational purposes. Our goal is to provide a service to you, our client in a professional and respectful manner. Buying a home is one of the largest investments of a lifetime and we strive to help you understand the overall condition of the home and set your mind at ease. Mecklenburg Inspections, Inc is also a certified radon measurement provider and analytical lab.Certified through the National Radon Proficiency Program. We use both continuous radon monitors and activated charcoal canisters. If your home is on a well and septic system, we can take water samples and have them processed at an independent lab. We also can coordinate a septic inspection for you at the time of our inspection. As a courtesy, we also can coordinate a pest inspection for you. Mecklenburg Inspections, Inc is committed to treating you and your property with respect by being prompt, courteous, professional in both attire and behavior. All reports are emailed the evening of the inspection and we are willing to answer any/all questions you have regarding the inspection.

Circuit to where or what? NM wiring entering the bottom of this condenser unit disconnect box was improperly double lugged and had an inline twist fuse. This mystery circuit was also open neutral as this disconnect had no neutral; and yes, the neutral wire was not taped at the line side. Poorly wired circuits can be faulty, could start a fire, and pose an electrocution hazard. Situations like this require a licensed electrician.

Keyless Cleat Sockets are light fixtures that are not commonly used but if your home has them, it would be worth replacing them. Ease of installation made them an attractive choice but the exposed and energized conductors pose a safety hazard, especially in a cramped space, like this crawlspace.
