Have you ever brought home a gorgeous rug only to lay it down & realize it was too small? 🙋‍♀️ Today we’re bringing you some tips so you don’t have to second-guess your rug size anymore!

◾️ Typical rug sizes are 8’x10′ and 9’x12′.
◾️ You want to make sure your rug is at least 6″ wider (8″ is even more ideal) than your sofa on both sides.
◾️ You will typically want to run the rug the length of the sofa.
◾️ Give 30″ to 36″ of a walkway between large furniture pieces (if your living room allows for it) if not then at least 18″-24″. That will help to inform your rug size!

PRO TIP 👉 Use blue painter’s tape to lay out the size rug you think you want to have so you can get a really good feel for what it will look & feel like!
