SMART Real Estate Solutions

SMART Real Estate Solutions Building stronger, happier Real Estate agents who are living balanced, fulfilled lives serving others Thus, her mantra of “Do Good” was born.

Throughout her career, Ivey has always worked in roles that put her in a position of helping people navigate challenging situations and seasons. From hospice to business analysis, to selling real estate and brokering for a $1 billion dollar producing firm, she has always helped people find solutions in the midst of whatever turbulence might be in their lives. After becoming a mother in 2012 to Mil

es, she stayed home to care for him for a couple of years. It was an important realignment to Ivey to focus on her family during that season foreshadowing what would later become the theme of her coaching business. When Miles turned three, Ivey began to consider a field she had always been curious about but never fully pursued–real estate. Her bedside manner, passion for helping people through hard situations, and business acumen all came together in this career. Ivey launched her real estate career with a brand, an LLC, and a business plan. She absorbed and ran with every single thing learned in training–and literally did every task. Core to her approach was the concept of always doing a good job for her clients. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter what you do to grow your business if you aren’t doing a good job for people. Ivey then began her training and coaching career as a broker focusing on growing new to the business agents of a large brokerage firm. In her role, Ivey took a program that was already fairly robust, and transformed it into a program training and coaching agents through their first transactions. The program was wildly successful and ultimately led to her developing training and coaching programs for experienced agents as well as an invitation to train at a national conference. Now, Ivey is taking her knowledge and experience to firms and individual agents around the country, helping others grow with a people-focused way of doing real estate without sacrificing what matters most.

For entrepreneurs, this quote from The Polar Express serves as a powerful reminder that success isn't always about what’s immediately visible. As business owners, we often focus on the tangible: sales numbers, customer feedback, and market growth. But some of the most important factors in our journey aren’t seen right away — like the relationships we build, the lessons we learn from failures, or the quiet moments of inspiration that lead to breakthroughs.
Success isn’t just about what’s on the surface; it’s about the unseen effort, resilience, and vision that drive us forward. It’s the hard work behind the scenes, the belief in our ideas before they’ve become real, and the courage to keep going when the outcome isn’t yet clear.

As the holiday season is coming to a close, take a moment to reflect on the unseen things that have contributed to your progress. Sometimes, the most significant elements of your business journey are the ones that aren’t immediately visible. Trust the process, have faith in your vision, and remember: the best is yet to come.

✨ "Your life is your story, and the adventure ahead of you is the journey to fulfill your own purpose and potential." — Kerry Washington ✨
As entrepreneurs, we are not just building businesses; we are crafting narratives that reflect our values, aspirations, and dreams. Every challenge we face, every decision we make, contributes to the unique story of our entrepreneurial journey.

This quote beautifully encapsulates the essence of entrepreneurship. Each day brings new adventures—some exhilarating, others daunting—but all serve as stepping stones toward our ultimate purpose. Embracing this adventure means recognizing the importance of resilience, adaptability, and passion.

So, as we embark on a new year, let’s take a moment to reflect on our individual stories. What chapters have shaped us so far? What lessons have we learned? And more importantly, what adventures lie ahead?

Let’s commit to fulfilling our potential by setting ambitious goals and embracing the opportunities that come our way. Together, we can write a powerful narrative of success and impact.

As we approach the new year, it's the perfect time for realtors to reflect on the past year and set actionable goals for the months ahead. To help you get started, we've put together a carousel post with key steps for effective goal-setting! Swipe through to discover how you can create a clear pathway to success in 2025. 📈✨
1. Reflect on the Past Year: Before diving into new goals, take a moment to assess what worked and what didn’t. What were your biggest wins? What challenges did you face? Understanding these insights will provide a strong foundation for setting meaningful goals.

2. Align Goals with Your Strengths: Identify your unique strengths and how they can inform your goals. Whether it's your knack for client relationships or your expertise in digital marketing, aligning your objectives with your strengths will increase your motivation and likelihood of success.

3. Set SMART Goals: Ensure your goals are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. For example, instead of saying, ""I want to sell more homes,"" aim for ""I will close 12 transactions in the first quarter by increasing my social media presence and hosting open houses.""

4. Identify Needed Resources: Determine what tools, skills, or support you’ll need to achieve your goals. This could be software for managing leads, a mentor for guidance, or even new marketing materials. Don’t hesitate to reach out to your network for recommendations!

5. Create a Growth Plan: Outline actionable steps to reach your goals. Break them down into monthly or weekly tasks, and schedule regular check-ins to monitor progress. This plan will serve as your roadmap, helping you stay focused and organized throughout the year.

6. Foster Accountability: Share your goals with your community! Encourage your followers to comment below with their own goals for the year. This not only fosters accountability but also creates a supportive environment where you can cheer each other on!

As realtors, setting clear, strategic goals can be the difference between stagnation and thriving in the competitive market. Let's embrace the new year with enthusiasm and determination!

🌱 "Always do your best. What you plant now, you will harvest later." – Og Mandino 🌟
In business, every interaction with a client is like planting a seed. The care, effort, and attention you invest today might not yield immediate results, but over time, they grow into trust, loyalty, and referrals.

Treating your clients with kindness and going the extra mile isn’t just good business—it’s the foundation of long-term success. Whether it’s taking the time to truly understand their needs, following up after the deal is done, or simply showing genuine appreciation, these small acts make a lasting impact.

Think about the kind of reputation you want to cultivate. Do you want to be remembered as someone who genuinely cared and delivered exceptional value? When you consistently give your best, your efforts create ripple effects—clients come back, they tell their friends, and your business flourishes.

As the year winds down, take a moment to reflect on the seeds you’ve planted with your clients. How can you nurture those relationships further in the coming months? Remember, the harvest will always reflect the quality of what you sow.

Full circle moment in business incoming...
It was a Thursday at 12:15 when an interesting email landed in the inbox of our Provider, TealHaus. It read in part:

"I wanted to reach out because my fiancé and I own the domain tealhaus.com, which I believe is connected to your brand and would like to transfer it to you at no cost."

It had to be a scam... right?

Read the blog post in the link below about how "Doing Good" for others (and in business, for our clients) always has a way of coming back around!

During the holiday season, it's easy for business owners to get caught up in the hustle and forget about the most important asset of all—themselves. As Eleanor Brownn wisely said, "Rest and self-care are so important. When you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others from the overflow. You cannot serve from an empty vessel."
The holidays are a time for connection, reflection, and gratitude. However, they can also be a time of overwhelming demands, especially for those of us running businesses. It's crucial to remember that we cannot pour from an empty cup. Taking time to recharge and focus on our own well-being not only makes us more present and effective, but it also helps us serve our clients, families, and communities with more energy, empathy, and purpose.

So, this holiday season, prioritize your own wellness. Take the time to unplug, recharge, and spend quality moments with loved ones. Whether it's a walk in nature, an afternoon of reading, or simply resting without the pressure of being "on," know that this time is just as valuable as any business strategy. The more you refill your cup, the more you can pour into others.

Business success is not just about hard work—it's about balance. Make sure you're taking care of yourself so you can take care of the business and the people who matter most.

As business owners, it can feel impossible to step away from work during the holidays. The laptop calls, the phone dings, and we think, just one more email. But how can we truly show up for our clients if we don’t take time to recharge and show up for ourselves and our families?
The holiday season is the perfect reminder to unplug, reconnect, and refuel. Here are a couple of tips I’ve found helpful for stepping away—without feeling like I’m abandoning my work:

🌟 Set Boundaries: Communicate your holiday schedule to clients and team members in advance. Let them know when you’ll be unavailable and ensure urgent matters are addressed ahead of time.

🌟 Create Tech-Free Zones: Whether it’s during holiday meals or family gatherings, designate moments where devices are off-limits. Fully immerse yourself in the joy of the season!

🌟 Schedule ‘Catch-Up’ Time: Block off time after the holidays to handle emails and tasks. Knowing you’ve set aside time for work later makes it easier to unplug now.

🌟 Be Present: Remember, this time is about making memories, not multitasking. The work will be there when you get back—but these moments with loved ones are irreplaceable.

This season, give yourself the gift of rest, joy, and connection. You—and your business—will thrive because of it. ❤️

"Gratitude turns what we have into enough." — Aesop
As we reflect on this powerful quote, it's a reminder that our perspective shapes our experience. In both business and life, focusing on what we have rather than what we lack can transform our mindset and overall satisfaction. When we practice gratitude, we acknowledge our achievements, relationships, and resources, turning them into a source of strength and motivation.

In the hustle of entrepreneurship, it’s easy to get caught up in the pursuit of more—more clients, more revenue, more recognition. However, taking a moment to express gratitude for what we’ve already built can lead to a profound shift. It allows us to appreciate our journey, recognize the hard work we've put in, and celebrate the milestones, big or small.

This Thanksgiving season, let's commit to practicing gratitude in our daily lives. Share your successes, however minor they may seem, and thank those who have supported you along the way. Whether it's a client who trusted you with their home or a colleague who shared insights, acknowledging these connections enriches our lives and businesses.

Join us in cultivating a gratitude mindset—let’s turn what we have into more than enough. How are you practicing gratitude this season? Share your thoughts in the comments!

The holiday season is not just about celebrations; it’s also a fantastic opportunity for realtors to connect with clients and stand out in a competitive market. Here are 4 creative marketing strategies from our Provider, SMART Real Estate Consulting, to make the most of this festive time:
🎄 Festive Open Houses: Transform your open houses into holiday events! Consider themes like “Winter Wonderland” or “Holiday Cheer,” and decorate your listings to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Serve seasonal treats like hot cocoa or cookies to create a welcoming environment. You can even host a charity drive, encouraging attendees to bring canned goods or toys for local charities.

🎄 Holiday-Themed Social Media Campaigns: Leverage the festive spirit on social media by creating engaging posts. Think “12 Days of Real Estate” where you share tips, fun facts about local neighborhoods, or features of your listings. Use eye-catching graphics and videos to draw attention, and don’t forget to include a festive hashtag to encourage engagement!

🎄 Personalized Client Outreach: Take this time to show appreciation for your past clients. Send personalized holiday cards or small gifts that reflect their personalities or interests. You could also create a custom video message to wish them happy holidays and share any exciting updates about the market. This personal touch can strengthen relationships and keep you top-of-mind for future referrals.

🎄Interactive Content: Create interactive content like holiday-themed quizzes or polls related to real estate. For example, “What’s your dream home feature this holiday season?” This not only engages your audience but also provides valuable insights into their preferences.

Remember, the key to successful holiday marketing is to blend creativity with genuine connection. By implementing these strategies, you’ll not only increase your visibility but also build lasting relationships with your clients.

“Before you invest in something, invest the time to understand it.” – Robert Kiyosaki
As the holiday season gives us a moment to slow down, it’s the perfect time to gather what you need to set yourself up for success in the new year. This is a season for rest and reflection, yes—but also a golden opportunity to prepare and sharpen your business plan.

, our Provider from SMART Real Estate Consulting, coaches her clients to take advantage of this slower pace to dive into “gather” mode. Reflect on what’s worked, identify areas to improve, and collect the tools, resources, and knowledge you’ll need to execute thier goals effectively.

While you should absolutely relax and enjoy the holidays, dedicating just a few hours a day to preparation can make all the difference when it’s time to hit the ground running in January.

The holiday season is the perfect time to nurture your professional relationships and make meaningful connections—without the pressure of a sales pitch. Here are some simple and effective tips for real estate agents to network authentically this season:
🎄 Start with Gratitude: Use holiday cards, emails, or social media to express appreciation to past clients, colleagues, and industry partners. A heartfelt “thank you” goes a long way in strengthening connections.

🎁 Be Present at Events: Holiday gatherings—whether community events or professional mixers—are a great way to meet new people and reconnect with others. Listen more than you speak, show genuine interest, and leave the hard sell at home.

🍷 Have Your Elevator Pitch Ready: While you don’t want to dominate the conversation with work talk, be prepared to share what you do in a concise and engaging way when asked. Keep it light and relatable!

✨ Give Before You Ask: Offer value in your interactions. Share a resource, recommend a service, or connect someone with a helpful contact. When you help others, they’ll naturally want to return the favor.

💻 Network Online, Too: If you can’t attend in-person events, participate in online discussions, comment on posts, or share relevant articles. Engage with your network authentically to stay top of mind.

The holidays are a time for building relationships that can lead to opportunities down the road. Focus on connection over conversion, and you’ll build a network that lasts well beyond the season.
