Congratulations to my buyer on the purchase of his first home! 🏡

It wouldn’t come without its own set of challenges.

From being in a multiple-offer situation from the beginning to facing financing issues. The buyer was able to quickly adapt and pivot, and the sellers were flexible enough to accommodate us.

There were a few concerns that we thought might come up on appraisal. We met at the property and quickly addressed the issues, ensuring they became non-issues.

Then, we were off to the finish line! 🏁

While it’s cliche to say “who you hire matters,” it’s true. However, this isn’t a one-man show. The agent you work with on the other side and the lender you choose is equally important, and together we were able to form an alliance that created a win-win for our clients.

A big shout-out to for lending resources, maintaining a level head, and communicating to his clients that we were still the best offer, reassuring them that everything would work out in the end.

I can’t forget the man, , who is a rockstar lender! By performing due diligence ahead of time and being transparent with our buyer, he was able to communicate our actual situation, rather than what we wanted it to be. It is vitally important to address this ahead of time to prevent any potential issues.

All of this is an emotional rollercoaster for buyers. Jackson couldn’t have handled this any better. He’s the real hero in this transaction, and because of his openness and adaptability, he was able to become a first-time home buyer! 🥳

📚Just finished Atomic Habits by James Clear.

This book has been on my shelf for over a year, and I’ve just gotten around to it despite all the hype I’ve heard since its release. I’m unsure what took me so long to pick it up, especially being big on systems and processes, but I’m glad I did.

Building tiny habits that compound over time leads to extraordinary results. He even says, “Habits are the compound interest of self-improvement.” It makes so much sense; I couldn’t have said it any better.

By getting just 1% better every day, by the end of the year, you’ll be 37x better than you were before! If that’s not a remarkable result, then I don’t know what is. Could you imagine a 37x ROI?! Well, you can, and it’s in the best form of an investment: investing in yourself.

The problem lies with people setting goals instead of habits. This is flawed because goals are about the results you want to achieve. Winners and losers can have the same goals, but what separates the two is that winners have systems and processes in place for small improvements that ultimately lead to achieving those goals. This is where he states, “You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.”

It gets better. If you’ve considered changing your identity and becoming a newer, better version of yourself, think “You 2.0,” then your behavior needs to change. To change who you are, you must change what you do. You become your habits.

One of the keys to creating habits and, more importantly, sustaining them is: your environment. Who and what you’re surrounded by. Are the people and items in your life holding you back or sabotaging your growth? If you’re surrounded by negativity, then it’s time for a change. Rearrange the furniture or items in your home, take a break from social media, and cut off toxic people. As humans, we crave to fit in, but fitting into the wrong thing(s) is harming us. Break the chain, move on, and become the new you.

Want to build better habits? Use the 4 Laws:
• Make it obvious
• Make it attractive
• Make it easy
• Make it satisfying

📚 I’m behind on posts, but I recently finished SOLD by David Greene from the BiggerPockets Podcast.

Every once in a while, I throw a real estate book into my reading rotation.
This one hit at just the right time.

Lately, I’ve craved returning to the basics. When I start feeling overwhelmed, it’s a signal to stop overthinking, get grounded, and focus on the fundamentals.

That’s exactly what SOLD helped me do.

It’s just 200 pages, but it’s packed with insight, especially for new agents or anyone who wants a real glimpse into what real estate actually looks like after you get your license.

And here’s something that woke me up:
📉 87% of real estate agents quit within their first year.
⏳ Most are out of the business by year five.

I just entered year five.
And now, I get it.
It’s tough. Not just the job itself, but the mental load we carry with it.
We get in our own way.
We don’t make the calls because we think we’re annoying.
We don’t post because it’s not perfect.
We stop taking action because we think we’re not ready.
The truth? We’ve made it about us, when it should be about them.
This book was the reminder I needed to stop obsessing over strategy and focus on ex*****on.
✅ Make the calls
✅ Send the follow-up
✅ Have the conversation
✅ Post the thing
✅ Be patient
✅ Play the long game
✅ Be kind to yourself
You know the rules. Now play the game.

Thinking about getting your license? Just getting started?
Or maybe you’re a few years in like me and just… stuck in your own head?
SOLD might be the reset you need too.

💬 Drop your favorite real estate book in the comments—I’m always looking for the next one.

📚 Just finished Building a Second Brain by Tiago Forte… and it’s already reshaping how I think, learn, and create.

If you constantly consume information but struggle to act on it, this book offers an excellent method for turning scattered ideas into a powerful digital memory.

A Second Brain isn’t about more productivity apps and tools. It’s about designing a system that captures your thoughts, insights, and experiences so your real brain can stay present and create something meaningful from the organized chaos.

⚡️ 3 Big Takeaways:
🧠 Building a Second Brain is essential in today’s digital age as knowledge work is becoming increasingly popular.
👨🏻‍💻 With my most recent read in mind, The Art of Living by Thich Nhat Hanh, a Second Brain is an excellent way to also document your life’s work.
💜 The heart and soul of your Second Brain is to eventually help others with the knowledge you’ve curated and developed.

🗣️ 2 Quotes That Hit Hard:
⚙️ “Your professional success and quality of life depend directly on your ability to manage information effectively.”
→ How many powerful thoughts have we lost simply because we didn’t write them down?

🎁 “Think of yourself not just as taker of notes, but as a giver of notes––you are giving your future self the gift of knowledge that is easy to find and understand.”
→ This reframed how I view note-taking. It’s not busy work; it’s a long-term investment in clarity and creativity.

🎬 1 Action I’m Taking:
🗃️ My goal is to build a creative flywheel that turns insight into output and clutter into clarity by organizing my notes using the PARA and CODE frameworks to help propel projects to completion.

📌 Already using a Second Brain—or thinking about creating one? I’d love to hear what’s working (or what’s holding you back).

Let’s trade ideas and build better brains—together.👇🏼

I just finished reading “Zero to One” by Peter Thiel. I’ve been putting it off because the timing was wrong, but my passion project finally inspired me to pick it up. If you’re considering starting a new business, especially in an unfamiliar market, I recommend reading this book first. It offers valuable insights and perspectives on approaching your new idea and determining whether it’s worth pursuing.

⚡️ My Three Ideas:
🔑 – Competition breeds mediocrity. The key to winning in entrepreneurship is creating a market where you truly dominate. You achieve this by monopolizing technology; creating new and better ways of doing things.

📈 – Don’t just focus on the short term. While short-term data can provide insight into business performance, it’s only an indicator. For a company to be valuable, it must have the capabilities to grow and endure.

🦾 – Complement, not compete. The debate of Man vs. Machine is easy to settle. Let the machine play to its strengths, and you play to yours. Review the machine’s work and use it to your advantage. Achieve greatness by working together better than either could have alone.

🗣️ My Two Quotes:
💀 – “Today’s ‘best practices’ lead to dead ends; the best paths are new and untried.” –– This sentence embodies the entirety of the book. What’s been working, worked. Create what will work in the future.

🆕 – “Monopolies deserve their bad reputation––but only in a world where nothing changes.” –– Like the board game, a true monopoly merely collects rent. However, modern monopolies are those which innovate and have a chokehold on their market. They are not the same; don’t treat them as such.

🎬 My One Action:
🌱 – To improve human happiness by creating a system of distinct processes, philosophies, practices, and frameworks that help individuals achieve optimal outcomes in health, wealth, and relationships, resulting in a more fulfilling life.

📌 If you’re currently in a highly competitive business or considering starting a new one, how can you use a zero to one-like mindset?

I’d love to hear your ideas!👇🏼

I just finished The Creative Act: A Way of Being by Rick Rubin. This book packs a lot of information and viewpoints that really get your creative brain thinking. The bite-size chapters also make this 404-page book easy to read and consume.

⚡️ My Three Ideas:
👨🏻‍🎨 – We’re all artists, whether we know it or not. It’s just a matter of changing your perspective to viewing and treating your work as such.

📝 – Develop a routine of habits and rituals that support your best work. Creating effective habits, down to the tiniest details, defines winning or losing.

📍 – Art states: I was here. By creating, you’re leaving your mark on the world. Express yourself and share your work. It may just inspire others.

🗣️ My Two Quotes:
🌊 – “When flowing, keep going” –– This was four words with so much context. Don’t stop just because the clock says so. Take advantage of being in the flow. Knock some real work out while you can maintain it.

🪴 – “Create an environment where you’re free to express what you’re afraid to express.” –– To me, this says two things: 1) surround yourself with the right people, and 2) curate space, allowing you to feel comfortable creating and sharing your work.

🎬 My One Action:
🎨 – Use your past experiences and interpretations as the source for your art, work, creations, or however else you want to label your self-expression. Creating is simply putting something into existence that wasn’t already there. This can be something as simple as a conversation or as complex as a solution to a problem. Everything around us inspires us to create. However, we are the instruments that must bring these ideas to fruition.

📌 How do you approach creativity? Do you see yourself as an artist in your work?

I’d love to hear your ideas!👇🏼

03/18/2025

The best version of yourself is forged in deep work. We only have the ability to truly concentrate for approximately 4 hours.

▪️ What if you used that time to develop a deep work routine while your attention is full?
▪️ What would your performance look like?
▪️ Would that also positively impact different areas of your life?

⚡️ My Three Ideas:
💸 – People who engage primarily in shallow work are easily replaceable due to their limited value. Those who perform deep work are true masters of their craft, placing them in higher demand because of the unique value they offer the marketplace. There’s a premium to being the best.

🚀 – Thriving in the new economy demands the ability to quickly master complex tasks and produce at an elite level in terms of both quality and speed. You can achieve both of these objectives by forming the habit of deep work.

⏳ To succeed, you need to deliver the highest-quality work possible, which demands focus and depth. Dedicate 3 to 4 hours daily, five days a week, to focused and uninterrupted work, producing meaningful and valuable results.

🗣️ My Two Quotes:
🧬 – “Who you are, what you think, feel, and do, what you love––is the sum of what you focus on.” - Winifred Gallagher
→ What you focus on expands, and you become what you think. Be aware of how you spend your time and what you let occupy your mind.

⚖️ – “The best moments usually occur when a person’s body or mind is stretched to its limits in a voluntary effort to accomplish something difficult and worthwhile.” - Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
→ Your ability to create these moments will also lead to greater fulfillment. A win-win that anyone can appreciate.

🎬 My One Action:
🧘🏻‍♂️ – You live a distracted life, and even when you do focus, it’s on shallow work. You need to develop the ability to concentrate on the activities that matter the most. You’ll be amazed at the increase in your performance when you work for less time and with less distraction. Work more efficiently and provide more value by cultivating a deep work habit.

📌 Have you tried deep work? What’s your biggest struggle when it comes to focusing and eliminating distractions?

I’d love to hear your thoughts.👇🏼
