Summer Fail So Far.....

I have not taken an opportunity to stop and pick up one of my favorite summer treats, a cherry sundae.

It matters because you are not just buying a house, you are buying a lifestyle.

It easy to get caught up in all the beautiful details of the home and not really look at the neighborhood surrounding it.

While driving the neighborhood I notice open and closed garages.

Not because open is better or closed is worse.

It just tells a story.....
Open garage doors mean the possibility of neighbors doing projects, kids riding their bikes down the street, someone is grilling, or neighbors are outside in the driveway talking to each other..

A neighborhood with more garage doors closed can show a more quiet, private, or more tucked away community.

Neither one is better than the other.
They are just different and something to consider when looking for a home..

So while helping my clients look for homes, I am asking other questions to see if it will meet the lifestyle you told me about so far.

What is the street traffic like?
Are the sidewalks walkable?
What schools and parks are nearby?
What is the overall feel of the community?

These things do not show up in listing photos, yet are important to the overall picture.
You are not just buying a home.
You are buying into a neighborhood and community.
