What are some easy ways to give your bathroom a refresh without breaking the bank?

Here are a few of my ideas:
*Clean all fixtures & tighten any that are loose
*Clean the trim
*Replace dead light bulbs or replace with a new type of bulb such as daylight or clear
*Buy a few new towels & hand towels to hang, put the old in your closet out of sight
*Buy a new shower curtain and rug
* Snag a few baskets at the dollar tree to throw loose items in

Tips for keeping walkways clean and safe in the winter.

*Mix ice melt with sand. It will help to reduce the amount of ice melt you use and the sand will provide extra traction.

*Spread your mix in even layers. Spread a thin layer before bad weather hits and a second thin layer afterwards.

*Rock salt can also be used and works in temperatures as low as -25 degrees Fahrenheit. Scoop up any remaining salt after the ice melts and throw away.

The holidays are over and there’s been no snow in sight here in NW Ohio.

Did you know you can make play snow!? Here’s a fun recipe to try with your kids using two simple ingredients.

-> baking soda and water.

Pour 1 cup of baking soda into a bowl, and add water one tablespoon at a time. Use a fork or a whisk to stir the two ingredients together, adding more water as you go. When it's light and powdery, it's ready to play with! Add small toys, beads or glitter for extra sensory play.
