We’re about to tell you how you can think in music. Yes, you read that right.
First: A huge shout out to Bowling Green State University and the BGSU College of Musical Arts for joining us as co-sponsors of the Toledo Symphony Orchestra ’s June 6th Rita Barbour Kern Masterworks series concert. When we asked BGSU CMA if they wanted to be our partner in sponsoring Live Arts Toledo , BGSU's affirmative response was music to our ears.
Music brings people together. It moves people. It helps them find hope and sharpens the intellect (check out the comments for a Harvard Medicine article on the neurological benefits of music).
As Albert Einstein once said: “I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music.” That sentiment really resonates with our team at Miller Diversified.
Northwest Ohio is incredibly fortunate to have a world-renowned music program in our backyard with the BGSU CMA there to educate and inspire the next generation of brilliant musicians who'll make the world a better place.
Another reason we are in the BGSU CMA fandom: Dr. Chris Murphy, Director of Business Development at Miller Diversified, is an epic saxophonist and a rock star product of the BGSU CMA education. His love for BG is big, and his saxophone skills are so legendary that Kenny G wants to be Chris when he grows up.
So why the duo sponsorship? Miller Diversified and BGSU are gearing up to celebrate America's Semiquincentennial (that’s 250 years to you) with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra on June 6, 2026, at 8 PM at The Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle. It's going to blow your mind like a French horn and get your heart beating like a bass drum, and if you aren't there, you're going to miss Aaron Copland's Appalachian Spring - an American classic. Every American, young and old, knows the tune "Simple Gifts." Hear it live that night as only the Toledo Symphony can perform it.

Be like Einstein. Come celebrate with us in musical terms. Maybe by the time you walk out the door, you’ll be thinking in music too.
BGSU CMA, thanks for everything you do to bring music to life. 🎶
