A year ago, I made the decision to read the Bible from beginning to end. It took me an entire year to finish.

There were days I couldn’t understand a word. Days I read eagerly. And days I had to push myself to keep going.

During that year, I spent a lot of time alone. Getting to know Jesus and, in many ways, getting to know myself. Somewhere along the way, I realized something that changed everything:

I can’t do life without Him.

We all have different stories. We’ve all experienced pain, disappointment, heartbreak, loss, and struggles. Jesus never promised us a life free of trouble, but He did promise that we would never have to face it alone.

He has been with me through every unanswered prayer, and every blessing. He has never left my side.

There is something so beautiful about knowing you are fully known and unconditionally loved. It’s hard to put into words. Even on the days when I couldn’t love myself, He never stopped loving me. When I felt weak, He became my strength. I know that the peace I’ve felt in my hardest moments could only come from Him.

So this past Sunday, I answered His call and took the bold step of being baptized, a public declaration that Jesus is everything to me.

My Savior.
My Father.
My Provider.
My Friend.

Thank You, Jesus, for the gift of salvation and for never giving up on me. Continue to shape my heart and make me more like You each day. Teach me to love the way You do.

If you’ve never experienced His love, or if you feel far from Him, I encourage you to do what I did.

Open your Bible.

You don’t have to have all the answers. You just have to be willing to seek Him.

He’ll meet you there. 🤍
