After many decades of service in the Rio Grande Valley, one title insurance company continues to adapt to the needs of the ever-changing landscape of the residential and commercial real estate industry. An important key to the success of Edwards Abstract and Title Co. has been the ability to set the pace for change in the title insurance industry in the Valley, and to adapt to market conditions.

The title insurance provider serves Hidalgo County with full service offices located in Edinburg and McAllen with extended title insurance services in the Mission and Weslaco markets. In 2010, Edwards Abstract and Title Co. expanded the service area to Cameron County and offers the added convenience of three offices operating in Brownsville, Harlingen and South Padre Island. Edwards Abstract and Title Co. has taken great strides to be recognized as a leader in the title insurance industry. The company was the first in Hidalgo County to offer the convenience of multiple branch offices; the first company to offer customers a transaction management system that provides users the convenience to view the status of orders online 24/7. Edwards is also first title insurance company to implement E-Recording in cooperation with the Hidalgo County Clerk’s Office. As the market evolves, Edwards has added a key new service to the company’s business model. In 2016, Mobile Closing Services have been added as an important component to offering customer convenience. Escrow officers have the opportunity to be responsive to customer’s needs personally by providing Mobile Closing Services. Edwards offers the latest technology, therefore communicating and receiving information will be fast and efficient. The Escrow Teams be available to close transactions at the location that is most convenient to Edwards’ customers.
