Good day in the woods today. Removed 14 dead trees, including a couple of 4-footers, some 3-footers, and several smaller hazard trees. Finished with a full cleanup and haul-off, leaving the property safer and cleaner.

Hazard tree removal a few days ago for the McCloud RV Resort.
They asked for a 10–12 foot cut height, so I used the skid steer bucket to get up in position and made the shot perfectly. Clean, safe, and efficient — just the way we like it.

Had a great time out in the field today dropping trees with Bruce Lambert on the backhoe and an awesome ground crew keeping everything moving smoothly. Teamwork like this makes the tough jobs enjoyable.

Weekend Contract Completed – Mount Shasta Forest Property Owners Association

This weekend, Norseman Earth & Timber Works partnered with to complete a contract job for the Mount Shasta Forest Property Owners Association. Our focus was on hazard tree removal along the POA easement roads, preparing the area for the coming winter.

While the larger portion of this project—removing over 80 additional hazardous dead trees—will continue in the spring, we prioritized and removed the most critical trees posing immediate safety concerns. It was a fast-paced, heavy-cutting weekend with plenty of hauling, but the work was smooth and rewarding.

As part of our ongoing commitment to the community, we also donated five dump trailer loads of logs to local residents for firewood.

We’re looking forward to returning in the spring to finish what we started and continue improving safety and forest health in the area.

⚠️ Community Notice – Hazard Tree Removal & Log Delivery Opportunity ⚠️

Norseman Earth & Timber Works will be conducting hazard tree removal work in Unit 3 and parts of Unit 2 within the Mount Shasta Forest Association area on Saturday, November 8th, 2025.

For the safety of all residents, please be aware that some roads may be temporarily closed or blocked during operations, as large trees will be felled across the roads. Please follow posted signage and avoid active work zones for your safety and the safety of our crew.

We’ll primarily be removing White Fir, with a few Pine logs mixed in. If any residents would like logs delivered directly to their property, we can provide delivery using our 16-foot dump trailer.

A few important notes for those interested:

Please ensure there’s adequate space for our truck and trailer to safely turn around on your property for efficient unloading.

Log sizes will vary – we cannot guarantee uniform or specific dimensions.

Rotten or unusable wood will be hauled to the designated dump site.

Although these trees are dead, the wood should still be considered “green” (not fully seasoned).

Cleared out some overgrown brush and ground down a few stumps to open up fresh, usable space. Always satisfying turning cluttered land into something functional again.
