In just a few weeks in North Carolina, the Harvest Festival at Grandad’s Apples N’ Such will bring four days of Labor Day weekend fun to Hendersonville from September 4–7, 2026. Running from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, the celebration fills the farm at 2951 Chimney Rock Road with local vendors, live music, food trucks, fresh treats, and plenty for families to do. More than 20 vendors are expected, giving visitors a chance to browse locally made goods while enjoying music and food around the orchard. Fresh-picked apples are a big part of the weekend, along with hot apple c***r donuts and other goodies from the farm bakery. Kids can work their way through the corn maze, hop aboard the cow train, visit the playground, or try hitting a target with the apple cannon. Grandad’s has been a family-owned and operated Hendersonville farm since 1994, and today the family farms more than 120 acres. Beyond apples, the farm also grows peaches, pumpkins, mountain cabbage, and seasonal lavender. With Blue Ridge Mountain scenery all around, it’s an easy way to spend a fall day enjoying apple season while supporting local farmers, musicians, food businesses, and makers.
