Reading this meant more to me than I can put into words. ❤️
When someone trusts me with the sale of their home, especially after they’ve already moved out of state, I know they’re trusting me with so much more than a transaction. They’re trusting me to look after a place that holds memories, value, and a lot of responsibility while they’re miles away.
That’s something I never take lightly.
I’m incredibly grateful that I was able to help make this process a little easier, keep an eye on the home, handle the little details, and step in where I could when extra help was needed. Sometimes it’s the smallest things that make the biggest difference, and I truly believe taking care of people is just as important as taking care of the paperwork.

🏡 When a seller moves out of state before their home sells, guess who becomes the unofficial house babysitter?
🙋♀️ Yep. Me. 😂
But in all seriousness, this is one of the parts of real estate I really care about.
When someone trusts me to sell their home after they’ve already packed up, moved away, started a new job, settled into a new state, or begun a whole new chapter of life… I don’t take that lightly.
That house is still one of their biggest investments, and just because they’re hundreds of miles away doesn’t mean the little things stop needing attention.
So while they’re gone, I may be:
✔️ checking on the property
✔️ making sure doors and windows are secured
✔️ keeping an eye on the thermostat and utilities
✔️ coordinating yard and pool maintenance
✔️ refreshing the home before showings
✔️ forwarding packages
✔️ meeting contractors and checking completed work
✔️ organizing and setting up open houses
✔️ putting signs out and picking them back up
✔️ printing flyers and marketing materials
✔️ running social media blasts and paid advertising
✔️ helping another agent’s buyer see the home when that agent can’t make it
✔️ answering early-morning and late-night calls because time zones are apparently rude 😂
✔️ and yes… sometimes negotiating contracts when normal people are already in pajamas.
Because selling a home from another state can feel stressful enough without wondering,
“Is everything okay back at the house?”
That’s the part I want my sellers to worry about less.
There is so much more to being a listing agent than putting a sign in the yard, uploading some pictures, and waiting for an offer.
A good bit of the real work happens quietly, behind the scenes, when nobody is watching. ❤️
