The Kucich Company (412) 758-2151 is looking for Maintenance Worker/Handyman Personnel. Pay will depend on your experience, each new hire is on a 60-day temporary hire to see if you have the necessary skills to perform the job tasks proficiently and independently. Must have construction experience as you will be required to go on calls for repairs and general weekly maintenance such as:

• Toilet leaks.
• Sink leaks.
• Drywall repairs.
• All lawn maintenance (w**d whacking, mowing lawns, mowing lawns, pulling w**ds, trimming shrubbery).
• Trash pickup around buildings.
• Vacuuming hallways in common areas.
• Painting apartments when move out occurs.
• Cleaning out apartments (disposal of any content left, cleaning stove, refrigerators, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms when a tenant has left).
• Some electrical/plumbing repairs.
This is a physically challenging job, we have multiple units with various levels, there will be time that you will have to get refrigerators to a fourth-floor unit. This is a fast-moving job, you will get tenant calls with necessary repairs, some will be emergency situations, some will be maintenance situations. You must be a self-starter and aware of your surroundings, i.e., if there is trash around a building, you must realize it needs picked up without owners telling you it needs done. Time management is key.

Must pass a background check and drug screening before you are hired. You will enter tenants’ apartments, therefore regular drug screen will occur.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $16.00 - $25 per hour
Schedule: 8-hour shift
Experience: Current Handyman/Facilities maintenance: 5 years required
License/Certification: Driver’s License Required

Looking to hire a full time Maintenance Professional

Job Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the
overall maintenance of the apartment complex and all areas related to the day‐to‐day maintenance. Essential duties include but are not limited to:

1) Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting (MUST Provide proof on resume that you have a working knowledge of these areas)
2) Repairs such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls electrical plugs and building exteriors
3) Clean out apartments of left behind items, includes furniture. Clean units, mop and sweep, degrease units. Get units ready new move‐ins
4) Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems
5) Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program
6) Complete grounds work such as: grounds pick up, sweeping and landscaping, mowing grass, pulling w**ds at various units.
7) Clean common areas of apartment buildings, take out trash from laundry rooms.
8) Shovel, salt sidewalks around apartment buildings as needed.

Job Requirements
Maintenance Technician must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors,
contractors and fellow employees. Maintenance Tech must have the necessary tools to effectively
complete tasks outlined above. One must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and be
able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships. Create and maintain lists of maintenance performed.
No lifting restrictions. Work will be performed Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm

Must be able to work independently. You will be assigned assignments as needed, you will need to have good time management and knowledge to troubleshoot the repairs.
Must pass a drug test
Must have a valid Pa drivers license
All employees will have a 90 day probation period

6) Complete grounds work such as: grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping
7) Coordinate special projects as directed
