My heart is absolutely shattered for everyone affected by the devastating floods in Central Texas this weekend. 💔
Over 80 people have lost their lives, and dozens are still missing. The images coming out of the Hill Country are just heartbreaking - families torn apart, children swept away from Camp Mystic, entire communities underwater in a matter of hours.
I can't stop thinking about those parents who dropped their kids off at summer camp just days ago, expecting them to come home with stories of friendship and adventure. Instead, they're living every parent's worst nightmare. And the brave counselors and staff who died trying to protect those children... there are no words.
This hits so close to home being here in Texas. We all know how quickly our weather can turn dangerous, but this was something else entirely. The Guadalupe River rose 26 feet in 45 minutes. Twenty-six feet. I can't even wrap my head around that.
If you're able to help in any way - donate blood, give to the Red Cross, volunteer when it's safe to do so - please consider it. These communities are going to need support for a long, long time.
Sending all my love and prayers to everyone searching for missing family members, to the first responders who are risking everything to save lives, and to this entire state as we try to process this tragedy.
Texas strong means we take care of each other. Now more than ever. 🙏❤️
