If Stonebridge Ranch has felt a little out of reach, take a look at Stanford Meadow. It’s one of the more attainable pockets of the Ranch, with a range of homes that works whether you’re buying your first place here or moving up.

Built between 2000 and 2004, mostly by Darling, homes run from about 2,000 to 3,400 square feet, priced from the low $460s up to around $675K, with the average near $568K. Zoned to Bennett Elementary, Evans Middle, and Boyd High School.

Village 17 of 75: Autumn Ridge 🌳
Confession: I get a little nostalgic every time I drive through this one. My oldest went to Glen Oaks Elementary, which backs right up to the neighborhood. Kids get there on a sidewalk that winds through the greenbelt to the school, no street to cross.

Dowell Middle sits across Ridge Road, but nobody’s crossing Ridge on foot. There’s a tunnel from the YMCA side of Autumn Ridge that runs under the road and comes up right at the front of the school. If you have kids, you know how rare that kind of walkability is.

The homes have great bones too. Built by David Weekley and Drees between 1993 and 1997, roughly 2,300 to 3,000 square feet, priced from the mid $500s to around $699K. Zoned to Glen Oaks, Dowell, and Boyd, with mature trees and settled streets you can’t fake in a new build.

One year ago, there were 11 women in a room for the first WeCONNECTSA meeting. Today, there were more than 90. THIS is what community can do.

Sam and I drove from Dallas to San Antonio to support Audrey, one of the amazing agents in our network, as she hosted the most beautiful gathering of women supporting, encouraging and cheering each other on.

A year ago, Audrey took the strategies we talk about around building community and put them into action. Intentionally connecting not just with Realtors, but with local business owners and the people in her own backyard.

Today, that group of 11 has grown into a room of over 90.

We were thrilled to teach our newest CE class, but watching Audrey bring this event to life was the real highlight. I truly believe this is just the beginning of something really special in San Antonio.

On our way back up I35, we stopped in Austin for hugs and dinner with Gavin.

Long day? Absolutely. Worth every mile? 100%.

It’s official. I’m an empty nester.

I started this business with my oldest as a baby on my hip, and today I left my youngest in Austin as he gets ready to start his life at UT. It’s hard to wrap my brain around the fact that the chapter of raising kids under my roof is actually over. And yes, I cried typing that sentence. And this one. And probably the next one too. 😂

For 24 years, this business has grown right alongside my boys. Was it hard? Hell yes. Were there years when money was tight, deals fell apart, I questioned everything, and a predictable paycheck sounded pretty damn appealing? Absolutely.

Would I do it all over again one million times?

Without hesitation.

Because this business gave me something I never could have had with a traditional 9-to-5. I worked weird hours. I answered emails from the hockey rink and took calls from school pickup lines. I worked after they went to bed and sometimes before they woke up. But I was THERE. I was home when they got home. I went to the school things. I got the random Tuesdays. I had a career I loved without having to choose between being a mom and building something of my own.

And somewhere along the way, while I thought I was just trying to build a business and raise two good humans, they were watching.

They watched their mom work for something. They watched me take risks, fail, pivot and keep going. They saw that there wasn’t only one way to build a life. And now they’re both out there creating their own paths.

Am I saying entrepreneurship guarantees your kids will do the same? Of course not. But they are watching you. You’re showing them what’s possible. You’re showing them what hard work looks like, what resilience looks like, and what it looks like to bet on yourself.

So for those of you who are in the hard part right now… fighting for your business, wondering if you’re doing enough, questioning whether all of this is going to be worth it someday… use this as fuel to fight a little harder.

Twenty-four years ago, I couldn’t see this part of the story yet.

I will never be able to unsee this about golf tournaments. 😂⛳️

Golf may be the ONLY sport where every spectator shows up dressed like there’s a chance someone’s going to tap them on the shoulder and say, “Alright, you’re in.”

Sir, you bought a spectator ticket. Why are you dressed for the back nine? 😂

But THIS golf tournament is one where showing up actually matters. 🧡

Derek started the Simply Texas Shootout as a way to give back to the people who helped him kick kidney cancer’s ass.

Last year, we raised more than $20,000 for the UT Southwestern Kidney Cancer Program, and on September 14, we’re doing it again at Gentle Creek Golf Club in Prosper.

And because I’m absolutely willing to exploit my husband’s birthday for a good cause…

His birthday falls ON the registration deadline. 🎂😂

His birthday wish? More golfers. More volunteers. More money raised for kidney cancer research.

So grab your clubs…or just dress like you could be called into the tournament at any moment…and come spend the day with us.
