One of our Collin County Board members, Ben Scholz, along with several other farmers from across the state, had the opportunity to sit down with Secretary of Agriculture,Brooke Rollins. These Texas Farm Bureau members and leaders discussed the rising price of fertilizer along with other farming issues. What an incredible opportunity.

Took a break from block walking this afternoon to meet with my friends from the Texas Farm Bureau. I’m grateful to be endorsed and supported by farmers, ranches and property owners all across HD67 who I’ve been proud to partner with over the years to protect and strengthen the Texas agriculture industry!

Share your farm pics with us. Prayers for all out there caring for your farms and animals. Stay safe!

Texas is the top cattle-producing state, and we’re proud of the work our ranchers do every day. The demand for their beef is high, and a limited cattle supply is a leading factor in higher retail prices. Supply and demand is not a market failure, though.

We’ve shared our members’ concerns about increasing beef imports with the Trump administration, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, and the Texas Congressional delegation.

We need to let the market operate freely without interference while Texas and U.S. ranchers rebuild their herds.

We are encouraged by the plan USDA announced this afternoon and look forward to working with the department to implement priority items.
