Remember the Alamo!

After 13 days of besieging by the Mexican army, the Alamo fell on this day in 1836.

The Alamo ’s history began in 1718, when it was established as Mission San Antonio de Valero. Construction at its present location was complete in 1724.

The complex’s use as a fortress began in 1803, a decade after the mission was secularized. At that time, a company of Spanish soldiers, known as Álamo de Parras, used the old mission as a barracks. Over the following years, Spanish and Mexican forces fought to control what by this point was called the Alamo.

By 1836, the Texas Revolution was underway. Mexican Gen. Santa Anna and his army entered San Antonio on February 23, and surrounded the Alamo, where commanders James Bowie and William B. Travis were stationed with about 150 men, along with some women and children who went to the fort for safety. Additional soldiers from Gonzales arrived days later, bringing the number of Alamo defenders to just under 200. The Mexican forces numbered about 1,800.

The final battle, begun on the morning of March 6, lasted about an hour and a half. The last fighting took place in the old mission chapel, the building which is now recognized worldwide as The Alamo.

This morning was a special one.

In an office of about 150 agents, I was honored to receive several recognitions for 2025. I was selected to serve on the Associate Leadership Council and the Finance and Profitability Committee. I was recognized as a Gold Medallion recipient, a national Keller Williams award for agents producing between $180,000 and $239,999, and I finished the year ranked #12 in our office, placing me well into the top 20 percent.

I am grateful for all of it. However, the award that meant the most to me was the Vision Icon Elevate Award. This award is voted on by fellow agents and is not based on production. It recognizes someone who pours into others and helps elevate the careers and businesses of peers and the brokerage. Only five cultural awards were given out in the office, and to be one of those five recipients is a true honor. Receiving that kind of trust from those I work alongside every day was deeply humbling.

The foundation of my business is stewardship. I aim to steward my time, energy, and resources in a way that serves my clients well and lifts up those around me in a way that honors God.

Thank you to my clients for your trust. Thank you to my partners in business - lenders, title companies, inspectors, cooperative agents, transaction coordinators and and many more. Thank you to our leadership past and present, including Richard Licare and , for investing into me and into this office. Thank you to for your support in my business from before I even got my license. Thank you to my parents and family for constant support, and to my wonderful wife for her faith and partnership in this journey.

Above all, I thank God. All glory belongs to Him.

I am excited to see what 2026 brings for all of us.

Probably should have paid more attention to the weather forecast yesterday. The wind literally was making my eyes water 🌬️

On the plus side, picked up a referral partner on the walk and a ton of knowledge at the conference. Last day tomorrow!

Probably one of the most amenity-loaded communities I’ve ever witnessed.

Small-town charm, built Texas-big.

At Pecan Square, everything circles back to the Town Square which is the heartbeat of the community. Grab a seat at Jackson Hall, knock out a few emails at The Greeting House, catch a game at The Arena, or unwind on The Lawn while the kids run free.

Step outside and it only gets better. Pickleball at The Courts. Sunshine at the Blue Horizon Pool. Fetch at The Barking Lot. Sunset views from Elm Tower. Pocket parks, playgrounds, green space everywhere you look.

This isn’t just a neighborhood. It’s a lifestyle designed for connection, movement, and room to breathe.

Curious what it would look like to call this place home?
Give us a call or send a message. We’d love to show you around.

I’ll also be manning the booth on Sunday, February 22nd from 11-12pm - be sure to stop by to connect if you’re at the convention!

Very excited to bring back tools and knowledge to help grow the business and better serve our clients!
