Summer always seems long until you realize it’s already halfway gone.

A few months from now, the concerts will be over, the farmers markets will be packing up, the kids will be back in school, and we’ll be wishing we squeezed in just one more sunset, one more weekend adventure, one more evening outside.

Today we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country and the freedoms we enjoy every day.

Toured this with a client in Edgemoor. Just under 7,800 square feet on a beautiful lot, and still close enough to walk into downtown.

Days like this are my favorite part of the process. Walking through homes together, talking through what works and what doesn’t, and getting a little closer to the right one.

May is here and there’s so much happening around Arlington + DC.

From local events to new spots we’re checking out, we pulled together a few things to save for the month.

If I had a friend in town this weekend, this is probably what we’d end up doing…

Saturday we’d start with the Embassy Tour. It’s actually such a fun way to walk around the city and try different things without overthinking it.

After that we’d grab brunch nearby. is always a good option, or if we wanted something a little nicer.

At some point we’d head into Northern Virginia for dinner. Ada’s on the River is one of those spots that always delivers, especially being right on the water.

Sunday we’d start with coffee first.
Either Open City since it’s right by the Cathedral, or Point Chaud Café & Crêpes if we wanted something a little more cozy.

Then we’d head over to Flower Mart. It’s a classic DC spring festival with flower vendors, garden booths, food stands, and just a really good atmosphere with everyone out enjoying the day.

If we were still hungry after, we’d end up at . That pizza is always worth it.
