A great end to a day with perfect conditions! The home buying market right now is anything but perfect conditions.., it’s still a hot🔥sellers market and the Fed has started raising interest rates, which was inevitable, they were practically giving money away and they couldn’t keep doing that forever. The interest rates are expected to stay under 4% through the year though, so not the low numbers we’ve been seeing but still nothing to snicker at. While this year will still be very challenging for buyers, with the right mindset, just like crushing the mogul field (ok, maybe I just survived it 😂) you WILL be successful! And you’ll look back at 2022 and be so glad you bought now!

My father was in the Navy for 41 years, he’s in Arlington Cemetery now but I think about him every day. I’m so fortunate and so proud to have had him for a father. Veteran's Day means freedom, sacrifice, and honor for those who served in the military. These men & women embody what it means to be an American, and we owe them an enormous debt of gratitude and today we honor them and recognize their courage, dedication, and service to our country.

If you guessed that you’ll need 20% for a down payment for a house, that’s what a lot of people think. It’s not true though. That percentage has been floating around a long time but as recently as late 2019 The National Association of Realtors found the average down payment on a house was 12% and for first-time home buyers it’s just 6% and there are loan programs that will take the down payment to 3% or even zero.

There isn’t a right or wrong answer when you decide how much to put down on your loan. Some things to consider:
* The minimum down payment requirement for your loan type
* How much you need to spend on repairs or renovations
* Your other debts
* How much to keep in the emergency fund

If you think you don’t have enough saved for a down payment to buy a house, you may need to think again. You might just be in need of a good lender, I know some, DM me! ? !

It’s been 2 weeks since my daughter got on a plane to fly 3822 miles across the Atlantic to start her year abroad. The roller coaster ride of emotions you go on when your teenager sets out on their own for the first time has finally pulled into the station. We have a new normal. I’m so happy that she loves it so much…, and as her favorite season of the year arrives tomorrow, I’m thrilled that she’ll get to experience it in a new and wonderful place. I can’t help but to wonder though, will they look at her strangely when she orders a pumpkin spiced pumpkin with a side of pumpkin, better make that extra pumpkin…, and some pumpkin spice sprinkled on top? 🤔
