These may seem like no brainers to most of you, but you’d be surprised!
Getting your home ready to list doesn’t have to mean huge renovations or massive landscaping projects. Here are 3 simple tips to get your home ready to list:
- DECLUTTER: you do not have to completely depersonalize your home. But let’s organize the closets, remove the pile of newspapers in the corner of the room, and the pile of shoes at the entrance. You want the home to feel open, inviting and clean
-CURB APPEAL: if you do not have curb appeal the buyers will pass up your home and not even make it inside to see the hard work you put into it! This means removing the fallen leaves on the corners of the yard, fresh mulch, power washing and adding some fresh flowers if in season. Simple task to again get great results!
-CLEAN: please please please get your home professionally cleaned before showings begin! I am talking baseboards, blinds, cabinets, ceiling fans.. THE WORKS! We tend to get nose blind and well.. blind in general, when we are living in a home. We miss the little dirt on the baseboards, the drop of yogurt on the cabinet door, things like that. It is a small expense that will make a huge difference to people walking in the home for the first time.
