An extra bedroom or a better location? 💭

I'd probably take the better location.📍Here's why.

An extra bedroom is nice. But the right location affects your life every single day.
✔️ How long are you sitting in traffic?
✔️ Can you walk anywhere?
✔️ How close are the people and places you actually see every week?
✔️ And in the DMV, are you on the right side of the bridge when you need to be? 😅

I've watched buyers fall for more square footage only to realize the location made their everyday routine harder than it needed to be. 🏡 You can rework a room, but you can't pick your house up and move it three miles down the road.

So yes, I'm going to make you think about the map before we get too distracted by the extra bedroom. 📲 Buying in the DMV? Let's figure out where you want to live before we start counting bedrooms.

Nothing makes your brand-new kitchen lose a little sparkle more than spending two hours a day staring at brake lights on the highway instead of cooking dinner.

🚘 Your commute is part of your home, and in the DMV, you better believe I'm factoring that in for my clients.

Around here, a few miles can mean a very different commute. We’ve all seen it. A house looks incredible online… and then you walk in, wondering if you somehow ended up at the wrong address...

And then there's the opposite. Sometimes the photos don't do it justice.

After more than 20 years in real estate, I’ve learned not to judge a house by its listing photos. Great photography matters, but it can never capture how a home lives, how the light fills the rooms, or that feeling you get when everything just clicks.

That’s why I always tell my buyers ➡️ don’t scroll past a house too quickly. Some of the best homes I’ve helped clients buy weren’t the ones getting all the attention online.

They were the ones everyone else almost missed!
