Earlier this month, we hosted our very first Rappaport Playpalooza, a celebration inspired by the award-winning events we bring to our shopping centers.

At Rappaport, one of our core values is compassion, and that starts with recognizing that our people matter most. Playpalooza was just one way we showed our appreciation for the incredible team that makes everything we do possible.

We enjoyed carnival games, tie-dying shirts, ice cream, and time spent together outside during one of the first sunny days in weeks! ☀️

We love celebrating our team, and sharing that positive energy with the communities we're proud to be part of.

Almost a month later, and we're still thinking about the incredible energy and opportunities at ICSC Las Vegas!

During the event, Rappaport Founder and CEO, Gary Rappaport, served as one of the judges for the UNC Retail Real Estate Case Competition, something Gary has participated in for many years. For the competition, students had just five days to analyze a complex case, build a presentation, and pitch it live to a panel of industry veterans.

This competition always provides an exciting atmosphere for both the students and current professionals, highlighting the importance of supporting, mentoring, and investing in the next generation of CRE leaders.

Through Gary’s participation, we were inspired by the drive and fresh perspectives these students brought, and we look forward to seeing the impact they’ll make in the industry.

We’re proud to welcome Phoenix Theatres Village 14 + PTX to Village at Leesburg!

Today’s grand opening showcased a dynamic moviegoing experience, where luxury seating, immersive sound, and an elevated food, beverage, and bar program come together to create something truly special.

This addition further strengthens Village at Leesburg as a premier destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment, and a place where the community can gather, connect, and stay longer.

Thank you to Phil Zacheretti and the Phoenix Theatres team, Mayor Kelly Burk mayor, the Leesburg Chamber of Commerce, the Leesburg community, and for bringing this vision to life. We’re excited for what’s ahead.

Village at Leesburg recently hosted their annual Pet Festival! This year, the festival featured more furry friends and fun than ever before! With 36 total vendors, a presentation from the Loudon County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit, and the first ever Leesburg's Got Talent: Pet Edition, presented by Wiggle Butt & Whiskers, the more than 6,000 in attendance definitely had a paw-some day🐶

We were proud to support the event and want to share our gratitude to everyone that was able to visit and a big thank you to Leesburg Veterinary Hospital for being a fantastic event partner. We look forward to seeing you all again next year!

We were proud to join the Ward 7 community recently at Skyland Town Center to celebrate the opening of a new neighborhood park dedicated to Karen Williams.

A tireless advocate for the community, Karen played a pivotal role in championing this vision for years. This space now stands as a lasting reflection of her commitment to the community and the impact she made on so many.

We appreciate the support of Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development as the neighborhood continues to grow and thrive.

Skyland Town Center is made possible through the collaboration of WC Smith, Rappaport, Washington East Foundation, Marshall Heights Community Development Organization, and Skyland DC.

A long-awaited project in Southeast D.C. hit a major milestone with the ribbon-cutting on a new community park in the Skyland neighborhood. News4’s Mark Segraves reports it’s the final phase of a massive redevelopment effort years in the making.

In a collaborative effort with Lehrman, Rappaport is proud to welcome Reisterstown Shopping Center to our properties under lease and management, further connecting us to Baltimore County.

Through a strategic approach to leasing and hands-on property management, our team will focus on enhancing the tenant mix, elevating the customer experience, and delivering long-term value for the community. Planned improvements and targeted leasing efforts will help position the center for continued growth.
