Piano tuner recommendation!! For those of us who still have an old school piano I have found finding a good tuner is becoming more and more challenging.

Enter Sean Lee of Lee’s Piano in Centreville. Did a fantastic job, fair price, spent a lot of time explaining how best to take care of my old school piano, humidity, location in house, etc. Solid 14th bday present for Audrey!

Contractor of the Month!! Mr Hamzai of First Choice Masonry

09/15/2026

Contractor of the Month goes to Mr Hamzai of First Choice Masonry. He was first recommended to me nearly a decade ago by a dear friend and client Greg Schaub who had his front stoop & walk replaced. Greg had done his homework shopping around and was pleased w/ the end result & price. Once I had a look at the work I have been referring Mr Hamzai many times a year ever since.

He has replaced my previously sinking front stoop along w/ my walkway in a nice Pennsylvania blue flagstone. He recently did the same for my neighbor Steve's down the street and repurposed their old stones to make a nice patio in their backyard. He is always on site, has a small crew, is a perfectionist and truly skilled at his craft. Proof is in the pictures for both my house and my neighbor's below.

Belated congratulations to my past clients Josh and Angela on the sale of their lovely row house in Del Ray, Alexandria earlier this summer. We pulled the trigger to get it on the market less than 2 weeks after our first meeting but thanks to a solid team/family effort of packing and staging we were ready by picture day. 1st weekend & 3 open houses later we had a great full price offer and was under contract by Monday. Extra thanks to my 3 coworkers who covered the opens as I sneezed the weekend through my terrible "man cold".

Thank you for trusting me with your Virginia real estate needs & Congrats again! I wish you all the best in your new fabulous Pittsburgh dream home!
