A good agent should ask you questions, not just answer them.

My first goal isn’t to get the listing or close the deal quickly. It’s figuring out whether your expectations can actually be met. If they can, let’s talk about how to get there. If they can’t, I’ll tell you that too.

Every real estate transaction has moments that don’t go exactly as planned.

There’s a lot that happens in a transaction that you may never see.
Calls and emails. Conversations with lenders, title companies, inspectors, and other agents. Schedules coordinated, deadlines confirmed, follow-ups sent, next steps handled before they turn urgent.
Much of that work happens quietly in the background. That’s on purpose.

There’s a difference between an agent who gets your house sold and an agent who actually advocates for you.
Most people compare agents by sales numbers, reviews, or how many homes they’ve closed. Those things tell you something. They don’t tell you everything.
I think you should finish your transaction thinking, "that was easier than I expected, and I felt taken care of the whole way." That’s what advocacy looks like to me.

Had a great anniversary dinner at our favorite place! Sweetwater Tavern Sterling!
No one prepares salmon like Sweetwater! We approve of the crab cakes and key lime pie also!! Beautiful drive home too!

One of my favorite parts of this work is helping people discover choices they didn’t know they had.
Should the propane in the tank stay with the house? Is it better to include the riding mower in the sale or handle it separately? Can you negotiate with a builder on new construction?
These aren’t questions most people think about until they’re in the middle of it.
My role isn’t to make those decisions for you. It’s to make sure you know your options before you decide.
That’s where experience quietly earns its place. Not because I’ve seen everything, but because I know which questions to ask before they become problems.
